We have watched this wine evolve over some time, and in fact enjoyed it for a number of years in its youth. Perhaps unsurprisingly, du Tertre made a very nice wine in 2000. It is still drinking very well, with slight progression in its maturity. And though the aromatic nose of black fruits, cedar, violets, graphite, and leather is impressive, its true pleasure is revealed on the palate. There is excellent balance and concentration, with a nice length to the finish. This is quite a seamless wine from beginning to end. We think it will still continue to evolve and provide pleasure for a number of years to come.
