Vinoble is proud to offer a great selection of Whisky Hong Kong. One of the most famous spirits dating back centuries, Whisky (or whiskey depending on the region) in all of its forms has never been as popular as it is today. Whisky can be distilled from nearly any fermented grain and is usually aged in oak, giving it the characteristic golden brown color. The United States is known for Corn and Rye based spirits, particularly Bourbon Whiskey, which is aged in charred oak for anywhere from a few months to 10 years. There is also Tennessee Whiskey, which undergoes charcoal filtration. Despite the history around Kentucky and Tennessee, whisky is produced throughout the United States. Scotland is famous for its Scotch Whisky, particularly for its Single Malt (produced for a single type of grain at a single distillery) and Blended Malt, which blends and ages whisky sourced from a number of different wholesale producers to make a smooth, consistent product. Producers frequently utilize used oak barrels from wine and sherry producers to give their Scotch a distinctive profile. Some regions such as Islay in Scotland use malted barley that has been smoked with peat, giving their Scotch Whisky a unique smokey flavor. Japan has a well respected whisky industry inspire by Single Malt Scotch. Several Japanese examples have been ranked among the best in the world. Canadian Whisky has been a significant export ever since the 1920s, when prohibition was in force in the United States. Since Whisky can be produced from nearly any fermented grain, many countries around the world produce it with different regulations regarding naming and production.
